My Manifestation Journey — Part Two
You may or may not remember, I ended part one of My Manifestation Journey with the statement “my life was never the same…” I know that sounds super dramatic, and yes I do have a flair for the dramatics but I need you to understand that I truly believe MY LIFE WAS NEVER THE SAME. Bringing home that DVD began my love affair with the Law of Attraction and manifestation. The Secret brought about my indoctrination into the world of the creative process, an almost rebirth.
What I never knew I knew
After enduring the gentle teasing of coworkers, I went home and watched the DVD. With every new idea that was presented, something inside of me acknowledged–no, shouted, “YES! YES! YES!” Had I known the narrative all along, but didn’t “know” I knew it? Maybe reminded is a better word. I was reminded that I knew it.
The film talked about the creative process and how we are truly capable of creating the lives of our dreams, but only if we believe we can do so. Of course, that is a gross under-representation. If you want a more in-depth understanding, you can watch the first 20 minutes of The Secret.
When the movie ended I had so much energy coursing through my body, I didn’t know what to do with myself. I grabbed a notebook and wrote down all the things I wanted, just as the film had instructed. “I am so happy and grateful now that…” So, I sat and I wrote. My pen jotted everything I equated to success. At the ripe old age of 20-something, the words reflecting my desires and my concept of success were fairly superficial–like new clothes, concert tickets and that dream job I wanted…
The Law of Attraction and Manifestation of my desires
I bet you are waiting for me to tell you I got those things right? That I successfully manifested them? Well, yeah–duh!
Some concrete evidence? Here are a few examples:
- Shopping at Express, I got over $600 in clothes for $99. Opening a new store card offered me a stout 60% off my first purchase, which meant I put a new wardrobe on the card AND paid it off immediately, in the store!
- I scored front-row seats (standing-room only) to see The Fray. The Fray sold out of tickets already but, still, I got awesome tickets to my then favorite band. How did that actually come to fruition? I have no clue, but I believe by willing it to be so and acknowledging that I wanted it, I put it out there–and those laws we’ll talk about, came into play.
- Out of hundreds of applicants, a dinner cruise line out of Boston hired me.
Yes, it worked. I began to notice manifestations happening frequently from then on, but those are the three that really stood out as things that wouldn’t have happened without this new process.
I wish I could tell you that I embraced manifesting fully at this point and lived happily ever after, but that isn’t exactly how it happened…
To be continued.
